How is foreign text handled?

DISCO uses unicode, an international encoding standard for use with different languages and scripts, by which each letter, digit, or symbol is assigned a unique numeric value that applies across different platforms and programs(1).

Therefore, if unicode supports the language within the document, then DISCO supports the language. Keep in mind, DISCO does not specify the language of the document, or provide translation services.
