How do I find documents with notes?

There are two types of notes in DISCO: document notes and privilege notes.

Document Notes

Document notes act like a digital sticky note on a document. The document notes, when saved, are searchable, and only viewable by those with access to the matter. To search the content of a document note, search “documentnotes()” and add your content between the parentheses. To search and find all documents with a document note, search hasdocumentnote(true).

Privilege Notes

Privilege notes will automatically be added to the downloadable privilege log (often used to note the reason for withholding a document due to privilege).

Documents with a privilege tag, or a redaction, will automatically be added to the downloadable privilege log. To search for documents with at least one privilege tag, use hasprivilege(true).
