Q: How to troubleshoot missing documents

One reason why there may be "missing" attachments or documents from your database is DISCO will not ingest documents is when the load file doesn't specify a bates numbering structure or reference to the items. The system works very literally and ignores anything that it is not told to ingest when done via load file.

To resolve missing documents:

  1. Submit a ticket to support@csdisco.com with support outlining the issue. If possible, attach the missing documents to your ticket.

  2. We will make sure we have all of the information we need from you, then update the missing documents. If the missing documents are found post-ingest, it is generally faster to correct on a per case basis than it would to try to sweep the entire ingest/system and bring in any documents missing from your loadfile.

If possible, it is always better to identify loadfile issues prior to ingest.
