Chrome
If you are using Chrome as your browser, DISCO will pre-cache documents up to 25 MB. This means that when you scroll to the next document, assuming that it is 25 MB or smaller, the full document will already be there.
Internet Explorer
If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, DISCO will pre-cache documents up to 50 MB. This means that when you scroll to the next document, assuming that it is 50 MB or smaller, the full document will already be there.
For any other browser and/or documents larger than the above settings, DISCO has a slightly different process. We will partially load the document so that when you advance to the next document, it will be faster for you to view. Note that extremely large documents may take a bit longer to load. The native size of the document (displayed in the viewer, in the left panel) is a reasonable way to evaluate whether or not the document meets the size thresholds.
