Reference ID is a customizable field. For example, a reference ID may be an external ID from a previous system.

By default, documents in DISCO do not have a reference ID. You can add the reference ID as a column in your load file, or provide DISCO support with a spreadsheet of DISCO document IDs and corresponding reference IDs for the team to add reference IDs after ingest.

To search by reference ID, use the syntax referenceid()

Sorting a production by reference ID

To sort a production by reference ID:

1. When you are ready to produce documents, in the DISCO main menu, click Productions.
   
   
2. On the Productions page, click Create New. Scroll down to the Other options section.
3. Click the Sort by dropdown and then select Reference ID.
