A matter represents a project in DISCO that scopes documents, users, workflows, and databases for a specific legal engagement. If a matter is no longer needed, it can be deleted to permanently remove all associated data from DISCO.
To delete a matter, the user must first delete the databases (review and/or case) within that matter.

- Ensure exporting or raising an export request before you scheduled deletion date. Export request post deletion date will not be valid.
- If you need long-term, low-cost data storage, consider using the Vault option.
- Select the appropriate reason for deleting the review database, as it helps our team improve services in the future.
- Before proceeding with permanent deletion, please review the billing end date and any warnings displayed on the UI. The billing end dates are shown on UI based on your contract with DISCO.
