DISCO’s new preloaded standard views allow users to export personalized privilege log information and document sets. At one point, the automated Privilege Log page offered some unique functionality, but it has since been eclipsed by the power of search and the ability to export the results list with customized metadata views. The Privilege Log feature has been removed from the main menu in support of these customized solutions.
There is now a new DISCO-provided view in every database. Select the Privilege log view under the standard views from the search results page. This will customize the fields in view to be similar to the previous DISCO Privilege log functionality. Users are always able to customize and save their views as they please. Learn more about customizing views here.
The previous Privilege log automatically included documents that had a tag from the Privilege tag group or had a redaction. While this covers many use cases, often users need to further customize the documents included in the log. This can easily be accomplished using DISCO’s powerful search syntax. To match the previous functionality, use the search:
tagGroup(Privilege) & hasRedaction(Yes)
The resulting document set and applied metadata view can then be exported using DISCO’s Document list export feature.
